I did this video a while back.

When the MTV show “Cribs” was at its peak of popularity, I – and many other comedians – decided it would be fun to do a spoof on the show. Many of the comedians went for the obvious funny of “if they are rich, I will do the poor version, and that will be funny.”

But I like to try to go a step further. In this spoof, the viewer knows this isn’t my crib, but they don’t know if I know that they know. And who’s to say it’s not my crib? “By faith…”

This is actually a house that was for sale in a really nice part of Southern California. At the time we did this video, I was living with my cousin and believing that I would soon be able to afford to move my three kids to California from Michigan and maybe one day have a home somewhat close to this one. So although this video is funny, it also had – and has – a lot of truth about what I was believing God for at that time.

The crib I wanted more than anything was not one full of bling but full of love and family. So CRIBS might stand for:
